We are proud to announce that GTE has contributed to a newly published book chapter in the Elsevier volume Water Use Efficiency, Sustainability and the Circular Economy. The chapter, titled “Water management and sustainable development: Circular water management conception on a river basin”, appears as Chapter 18 and presents the results of a collaborative EU COST Action project.
Prepared within the scope of the project “Development of Circular Water Management Possibilities on a Multi-Sectoral Scale – The Küçük Menderes River Basin Example,” the chapter explores cross-sectoral strategies to enhance resource efficiency, support nature-based solutions and promote water sustainability in regional planning.
GTE’s sustainability team supported the conceptual development, data interpretation and policy alignment aspects of the chapter. The project reflects how science-based collaboration at the river basin level can drive sustainable water management solutions aligned with the circular economy.
We thank our co-authors Hasan Volkan Oral (Ph.D.), Prof. Dr. Hasan Saygın, Hülya Boyacıoğlu, Deniz Dölgen, Necdet Alpaslan, Emrah Alkaya (Ph.D.), Belfu Bayırtepe, Thomas Bladen and Ahmet Avni Atayol for their valuable contributions throughout the research and publication process.
