TUBITAK: 1831 Green Innovation Technology Mentorship Program

“Türkiye Green Industry Project”, coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, is financed by the World Bank and implemented by TUBITAK and KOSGEB. As one of the solution partners in this project, GTE will support SMEs across Türkiye in their green transformation processes. The project aims to provide mentorship and consulting services to SMEs striving to align with green transformation requirements.

In this context, services such as technology consulting, capacity analysis, situation analysis, problem identification, and solution roadmapping will be offered in line with green innovation principles. These services will enable local businesses to adopt sustainable production practices, helping them reduce environmental impacts and improve resource efficiency. The project seeks to promote circular economy and green transformation practices in Türkiye, enhancing the global competitiveness of SMEs.

The Technical Feasibility of Izmir Resource Efficiency Center

“Izmir Resource Efficiency Center” project, initiated by Izmir Development Agency (IZKA) in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, aims to enhance the productivity and sustainability capacities of businesses in the Izmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone by providing guidance on industrial symbiosis, digital transformation, clean energy, and carbon management. GTE plays a crucial role during the technical feasibility phase, offering consultancy in critical areas such as infrastructure setup, human resource planning, cost-benefit analysis, and the development of sustainable business models.

Following the feasibility study outcomes, the center will create shared spaces for the private sector, accelerating production, R&D, and innovation activities while boosting regional competitiveness.

Creation of a Roadmap for the Development of the Wind Turbine Recycling Sector in Izmir

The “Izmir Wind Turbine Blade Recycling Roadmap” project, led by the Izmir Development Agency (IZKA) with GTE providing technical consultancy, aims to promote environmental sustainability and circular economy principles within the rapidly growing wind turbine sector in Izmir. In this context, methods for the circular management of turbine blades, an increasingly significant issue worldwide, were evaluated, and strategies were developed to advance Izmir’s wind turbine recycling infrastructure.

The project’s outcome, the “Creation of a Roadmap for the Development of the Wind Turbine Recycling Sector in Izmir” addresses topics such as recycling technologies, material reuse, and sectoral partnerships, offering a comprehensive roadmap for the wind industry in Izmir and Turkey. This initiative aims to position Izmir as a wind energy hub aligned with circular economy principles.
